Lead Abatement

PMG is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm in the State of New York. Our team of skilled and trained professionals will ensure the safest and most efficient removal method. According to the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, landlords and contractors must adhere to the NYC health code which requires specific abatement methods and work procedures as described in section 173.14 of the NYC health code.

Safety standards include preparing the work area, containing dust and debris, and daily and final cleanup. As part of the abatement, we repair any conditions that may cause paint to peel, crack, blister, or chip. Common building problems that damage paint include water leaks from pipes, roofs, windows and radiators.

Acceptable abatement methods are enclosure, replacement and paint removal.
